Mission

The central purpose and role of THE BIG ISSUE KENYA is defined as:

  • To offer developmental, self-employment opportunities to enable marginalized adults to move from social exclusion to self-sufficiency.

  • To be an independent media platform which promotes an ethos of social responsibility

  • To empower beneficiaries to achieve the dignity of independence through life intervention and skills development programmes

  • To achieve organizational self-sustainability through socially responsible income-generating activities
